Francis
Preve has also been intimately involved in interactive technology
since
the beginnings of the World Wide Web. His attention to
detail and thorough understanding of information architecture
have been recognized in awards received for his contributions
to AMD's corporate web site. He has also served as both panelist
and moderator for South-by-Southwest
Interactive since 1997, and is a member of the SXSW advisory
board. Accordingly, Wired Digital (Webmonkey)
and numerous other publications have tapped him to write
articles on topics as varied as integrating rich media to
developing
music web sites from scratch.

seabrooktv owner Seabrook Jones found that many of his clients
also required photographic services and slide shows for their
productions, events and web sites he called on Preve to create
another portfolio site this time showcasing his still images
and graphics. The main requirements being easy scaling and a
simple but compelling design - juicythis.com was born. This site
launched in March of 2006. |

Dr.
Michael Escobedo is at the forefront of skin rejuventation medicine
and dermatological procedures in Central Texas. Accordingly,
he needed a site that included extensive information on the services
and procedures offered at his practice, including cross-platform
compatible video. In conjunction with SeabrookTV.com (who
provided video production services), Preve developed and
delivererd the site over the course of two months in 2003. |

August of 2002 Austin based video Writer & Director Seabrook
Jones drafted Preve to create a low maintenance easily updateable
portfolio site to showcase a wide variety of video productions
for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local and national
broadcasters and non-profit groups. Preve also contributes music
composition, sound design and website design to several of seabrooktv's
productions. |

Keen
Personal Media [view

As
Lead Designer, Preve worked closely with Keen's marketing group
to realize their vision and brand strategy for the Keen corporate
site. Developing the site required flexibility, as Keen was in the
process of refining their brand. This web site was designed to allow
for rapid expansion as Keen finalized the content to be deployed.
Preve delivered the site in January 2002, and it is currently maintained
by Keen's internal web group. |

was a small hardware start-up with an innovative approach to positioning
their products. Preve was engaged as a consultant to design their
brand image and interactive sales collateral. Working closely with
WebOffice's executive team, he developed their logo, style guide,
core messaging, as well as serving as Project Lead in creating a
suite of Flash-based salesware. |

Tantau

Now
a division of 724 Solutions, Tantau had a highly developed brand
identity when Preve was tapped to lead the development of several
Flash-based tutorials to be used in their multimedia SDK. Leveraging
their Magritte-inspired print collateral, Preve's team developed
two highly engaging rich media pieces that extended the Tantau brand
while serving as introductions to the SDK. |

WebIQ

Austin,
Texas based start-up, WebIQ, needed a brochureware web site to define
their brand and web-based collaborative tools. The time-frame and
resource allocation for this engagement was extremely agressive
- four weeks. Working from their initial brand image concepts, which
consisted of a logo and color palette only, Preve rapidly developed
their entire web presence - including two online product presentations
- and met the deadline with time to spare. |

Music Technology [view

Program Director for NemeSys (a division of Tascam), Preve is credited
with developing and refining all aspects of their corporate marketing
strategy. Over the course of two months in 1999, he single-handedly
designed and implemented their corporate web presence, which included
all product collateral, online technical support, and integration
with existing threaded forums (BBS). |

owned by Lucent, Agere's initial web presence was designed and developed
in three weeks by Preve. With the direction of their Marketing Director,
Preve rapidly prototyped the look and feel (based on their existing
print collateral) and finalized the site's architecture - on time

1998, Preve was charged with the task of developing a short non-denominational
winter greeting for Austin's South-by-Southwest conference. Working
in a variety of software environments - including AfterEffects,
Premiere, Bryce, and Cubase - he created and assembled all elements

Shoreline
Amphitheatre [view

While
at AMD (details below), Preve served as Webmaster for the Bay Area's
legendary Shoreline Amphitheatre site, which was sponsored by AMD
from 1997-2000. His groundbreaking design for this web site included
the pioneering use of JavaScript-based interactive seat selection,
which allowed visitors to view the perspective of each seating section
before purchasing tickets. |

Micro Devices
From
1997 to 1999, Preve served as Web Coordinator for Advanced Micro
Devices' Embedded and Communications processor groups, as well as
their multi-lingual South American corporate presences. His responsibilities
included contributions to the overall design and architecture of
the AMD web presence, project management of new media corporate
collateral, and assistance with overall web strategy. |

Synthesis
Since
its launch in 1996, Preve's critically-acclaimed Synthesis web site
has received hundreds of thousands of visitors looking for information
on synthesizer, audio and MIDI technology. All content, design and
interactive audio calculation tools were conceived and implemented
by Preve, who continues to maintain the site as his schedule permits. |
